Registration is now open for the 2016 Dodging the Memory Hole: Saving Online News conference, which will be hosted by the University of California Los Angeles Library October 13-14, 2016. There is no charge to attend, but space is limited. The Institute of Museum and Library Studies (IMLS) is helping to underwrite the conference, which is organized by the Journalism Digital News Archive at the University of Missouri's Reyynolds Journalism Institute.

I had the opportunity to speak at the first in this series of important meetings, in 2014, and learned a great deal there: this is a very hard, complex issue that is of enormous importance to the future of scholarship and of society broadly. I'm looking foward to participating in this follow-on meeting, and hope to see a number of CNI-announce subscribers there.
