There's a fabulous long posting by David Rosenthal this week titled "The Medium-Term Prospects for Long-Term Storage Systems" on the evolution of various storage systems and technologies and associated economics in the context of long-term preservation which I think will be of interest to many in the CNI community.It synthesizes a good deal of the work he's been doing in recent years, some of which he's presented at CNI.
