National Library of Medicine Strategic Vision Call for Input

CNI-ANNOUNCE CNI-ANNOUNCE

The Director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Francis Collins, has formed a working group to articulate a vision for the future of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) as part of the transition taking place with the retirement of the long-serving NLM Director, Don Lindberg, this spring. As part of this process the working group is calling for community responses to a request for information by March 13.

The RFI can be found at:

and information about the working group is at:

NLM has been an incredibly important part of the research and scholarly communications environment, as well as a key bridge between the research community and the broader public, in recent decades and it's vital that it has the benefit of the best thinking as it maps its future.
