In today's Federal Register there's a very interesting request for information from the Office of Technology Policy (OSTP) asking for input to help in the development of a National Digital Assets Research and Development Program. The scope is quite wide ranging, covering distributed ledger technologies (including blockchains), decentralized financial systems, and crosscutting issues like security and privacy.
