The US Interagency Working Group on Digital Data, a part of the National Science and Technology Council, has finally issued its report "Harnessing the Power of Digital Data for Science and Society". Some 22 federal agencies were involved in this effort, which defines an agenda for advancing scientific data stewardship, access and reuse across the federal government. It builds upon more agency-specific efforts such as the National Science Board's earlier report on Long-Lived Scientific Data.
