Videos: Data Capsule Appliance for Restricted Data & Prioritizing Researchers in RDM
Two new videos from CNI’s December membership meeting have been posted:
Data Capsule Appliance for Research Analysis of Restricted and Sensitive Data in Academic Libraries, Robert H. McDonald, Inna Kouper (Indiana U.), Erik Mitchell (UC Berkeley), John Unsworth (UVA)
This IMLS-funded initiative seeks to understand current library needs and practices in providing library services for computational access to special collections having constraints due to sensitivity or policy restrictions, as well as working to extend the HathiTrust Research Center (HTRC) Data Capsule service to broader needs of provisioning for analytical access to restricted collections across a range of library collections. This video includes descriptions of key use cases at partner libraries.
