This presentation addresses the role of the library in monitoring demographic use of makerspaces through strategic, mission-driven assessment practices. Topics include: barriers to makerspace access, assessment plans and associated data gathering practices, and usage trends. IT system and organizational challenges associated with assessment practices are also addressed.

Seven Years of Libra at UVA: From Single IR to Modular Scholarly Repository Services, Ellen Catz Ramsey, (UVA) In 2010, the University of Virginia was an early adopter of Hydra/Fedora repository solutions. Now UVA has multiple modular repository parts, some more open source than others. This video presents some of the institution's successes, failures, and promising experiments, and UVA’s process as they continue to assess existing modular services and add new ones.
