Martin Paul Eve (University of London) Although open access has become associated with article processing charges, the consortial business models underpinning the Open Library of Humanities, Knowledge Unlatched, arXiv, and even SCOAP3 have been highly successful within their own domains. These models, though, are theorized to have scalability limits.
