The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) issued an important memo to heads of federal research agencies late last week establishing guidelines for research security programs, including a definition of the institutions that these guidelines should cover ("covered institutions"). These guidelines cover cybersecurity, foreign travel security, research security training and export control training. See
